Winner of 2007 Edinburgh Comedy award, Brendon Burns is indefinable, but we'll try! If we were to use one word to describe Burns' career it'd be ?interesting?. This is not your everyday comic. Older, wiser, calmer - Burns' energy is enticing. His turn of phrase is coarse yet oddly eloquent, whilst remaining fully accessible and intensely loveable. Never pompous and ever self-deprecating Burns' somehow seems to get away with murder. His influence is unmatched in the stand-up world.
Often replicated - never matched, his shows aren't just extended sets, Burns specialises in creating experiences that will have you laughing for days.

'His peers are not other stand ups but more from the literary World. Burns is the William Burroughs and Charles Bukowski of stand up' William Cook, The Guardian
'Not only has he been pushing back the boundaries of taste for years. I'm quite certain he has no idea where they are' Jimmy Carr
'The single most jaw-dropping, awkward, yet ultimately rewarding bit of stand up we have ever seen'

'It is a tremendous thrill to see a comedian who has been excelling at his craft for years reach a new peak. Brendon Burns has achieved this with a truly remarkable show in which he tests, pushes and attempts to redefine the boundaries of taste in racism, sexism and homophobia.' Chris Wilson, The Stage
'You have only ever really toked on pure socio-political comedy. Which is not without its effect. With Brendon you are mainlining. And the hit is a feeling I will never, ever forget. Last night I had to accept that I am part of the problem? respect, sir. And not a little awe. ' ***** Kate Copstick, The Scotsman
'Forever changing and improving, Burns has a stand up show that is like nothing you have ever seen before. Never one to stick to a repetitive formula, he brings something new and exciting every time. He will jump-start your brain, crack your ribs with laughter and blind you with your own tears. Again Brendon Burns has proven why he is the best at what he does' ***** Wayne Miller, British Theatre Guide
'Simply a legend in the making' ***** Danny Wallace, The Sun
'You have to hail a comic who exposes his life so willingly, who takes his audience on such an emotional ride without resorting to course manipulation, who has the courage to flirt with conventions of bad taste, who has the power of delivery to overwhelm resistance, revulsion and downright hostility, and, most of all, who makes it all damn funny' ***** Steve Bennet, Chortle
